One rule, one exit, and no toll booths on the way there.

DriftMeadow makes Android games that keep to themselves: nothing to sign into, nothing to connect to, nothing to pay for once the download finishes. Twistway is the current one — a labyrinth that gets built from scratch every time you start.

Patience is the whole product, so we do not sell shortcuts through it

Wandering into a dead end and doubling back is not a defect in a maze game — it is the game. The moment a studio starts charging for the way out, every dead end becomes a sales opportunity, and the design quietly bends towards frustration because frustration converts.

We took that lever off the board entirely. Twistway has no shop, no currency, no advert waiting at the end of a run and no revive to sell after a bad one. The hint exists and it is free, unlimited and slightly unhelpful on purpose: it points, it does not walk you out.

DEAD END

We tried a version with a leaderboard. It turned a quiet game into a comparison, so it went in the bin. Your best time is yours and stays on your phone.

TWISTWAY

find your way through the maze · poišči pot skozi labirint

A marker, a start, an exit, and a great many wrong turns in between. Steer by swiping the marker along the corridors, or lean the phone and let it roll — the two control schemes are both in the box, and you can switch whenever your hands change their mind.

No two runs share a layout: each labyrinth is built on the spot, small and forgiving at first, then wide and awkward as the levels climb. The clock runs while you search, which makes a tidy route worth hunting for, and it can be ignored completely if you would rather drift out at your own speed. When a corner defeats you, the hint nudges you the right way.

Two hands, two ways to move

An empty tray with a few pillars in it — no maze, no exit, nothing to reach. Lean the tray by dragging and watch the marker roll under its own weight, or switch to swipe and move it a step at a time. This is only the difference between the two control schemes, in your hand.

0.0marker speed, tray units per second
0walls bumped

Drag anywhere on the tray: it leans toward your finger and the marker rolls that way, picking up speed as it goes.

No walls to solve, no clock, no exit and nothing saved — the marker just rolls about. Twistway puts that same marker into a labyrinth built for the occasion, and starts the clock only if you want it running.
